Our herd rises early
At the foothills of the Blackstairs Mountains. Under century-old, Irish native beeches and oaks, our cows live and thrive. At 6am, Bella, Dew and Sunbeam and the rest of the herd head over to greet us, ready for the slow amble into the milking parlour.
This morning’s milk becomes this afternoon’s fresh, creamy, award-winning yogurt. Our milk travels metres (not miles) – from pasture to parlour to pot.
Morning milking complete, it’s back to the pastures of lush clover and wild, native flowers. Come 4pm, it’s time for these friendly, inquisitive Friesians to be milked once more.
Two families side-by-side
Our beautiful cows are a family. They go back, mother to daughter, in a 10-strong lineage. We’ve known and cared for them, soul-to-soul, for nine generations of the Dunne family.
Native craft, hands-on dedication
Our Killowen Farm yogurt is crafted right here, where the milk is sourced. The clean, pure, natural milk travels moments not miles.
Joyously Good Yogurt
Blas na Eireann, Great Taste Awards, Irish Quality Food Awards – Killowen Farm yogurt has won them all. We’re the only yogurt gracing the breakfast tables at the 7 Star Burj Al Arab in Dubai. And it’s Killowen Farm yogurt that is chosen by The Merrion Hotel and Adare Manor. We do have to remove the wellies before going in though.

This means encouraging biodiversity in our fields, giving space to wildness, and drawing water from our own well. Because our yogurt is produced on our dairy farm, our milk travels moments not miles, keeping down our carbon footprint.
