Lemon and Orange Yogurt Easter Fairy Cakes


225 g plain flour
½ tsp bread soda/ bicarbonate of soda
Rind of one lemon
Rind of one orange
100g butter
125 g sugar
85 g Killowen Farm Natural Yogurt
140 g Killowen Farm Lemon Curd Yogurt (1 glass jar)
2 eggs
1 tsp Vanilla Essence


  • Preheat the oven to 160°C
  • Fill a bun tin with bun cases
  • Sift the flour and bread soda into a bowl
  • Separately, melt the butter in a pan over a low heat
  • Whisk the sugar, Killowen Farm Lemon Curd Yogurt and Natural Yogurt, eggs, lemon and orange rind and vanilla essence into the melted butter
  • Make a well in the flour mixture, pour in the yogurt mixture and mix until combined
  • Put a heaped teaspoon of the mixture into each bun case
  • Bake for about 20 mins or until golden brown
  • Allow to cool and decorate with Easter treats!!
