We are delighted to announce that Killowen Farm was recently selected as the overall winner of the prestigious 2015 Wexford Business Awards. The results were revealed at a glittering business banquet at White’s Hotel on Friday June 5th, attended by the more than 500 people, including the cream of the Wexford business community.

Over the course of the evening Killowen Farm collected awards in two categories: the 2015 Green Business Award, sponsored by the EPA, as well as the Food Producer of the Year Award in association with the Wexford Food Family.IMG_0455

With regard to our success in the Green Business category, the judges commented that ” The winning business has been on an impressive journey for a manufacturing industry through embracing the low carbon sustainable enterprise, commitment in their challenging ‘Origin Green’ programme and excellent collaborative and community initiatives.”

Awarding Killowen Farm the  Food Producer of the Year Award, the judges commented that “This small business has always tried to think differently in terms of sales and marketing development. Innovation is the name of the game, and with their new limited edition range of yogurts, this company continues to excel and wherever possible uses real ingredients, sourced locally and flies the Wexford flag”.

The competition in both categories was very stiff, with the Irish National Heritage Park and O’Neills Dry Cure Bacon and Wexford Cheddar (Glanbia) selected as runners-up.IMG_0454

At the end of the evening we were thrilled to be declared overall winners, as this recognition by our colleagues in the Wexford business community is particularly treasured.
